Where it all began
It all begins with an idea. This idea actually was years in the making. Having a large extended family and outgrowing any space to gather was just one reason to dream about building a thoughtful LARGE building to host our celebrations. We lovingly called it our “party barn” as we dreamed it for years. Having a background of hosting big gatherings, building homes and businesses, doing design work….I finally talked my husband into giving it careful consideration. I came up with the business plan, showed him spreadsheets of why this would be a good idea, and he came around into making the dream bigger than what I even envisioned. We sat down and drew up the floor plan, the design, and most of the logistics. Found the beautiful 8 acres to purchase, went through all of the city meetings, planning and zoning, board meetings for approval, a barn company to supply the lumber, and so much more that I won’t bore you with here! I got busy making contracts, building the website, diving deep into the wedding industry, shopping for decor and furniture, and actually booking 34 weddings BEFORE the barn was even complete!! I love this part of the story and am very proud of what we have accomplished. Here is small glimpse of the process…..
